After extensive damage from Hurricane Lowell on September 6th Kauai Shrimp had made a very difficult decision to close our shrimp farming operations in Kekaha.
This is not how we imagined our story ending.
For years, we have been incredibly proud to raise shrimp right here on Kauai and to bring locally grown shrimp to families, restaurants, chefs, and communities across Hawaii. None of it would have been possible without our hardworking team and the tremendous support we have received from all of you.
Our Kauai Shrimp storefront will remain open through October 31, and we would love to see you before we close our doors. You can also continue to find Kauai Shrimp at your favorite local stores while supplies last.
To our employees, customers, chefs, distributors, partners, and the Kauai community—mahalo from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
