After one hell of a long weekend, a whole lot of chaos, and more oven drama than anyone ever asked for… WE HAVE A WORKING PIZZA OVEN!
🔥 The new oven is up and running.
🍕 Pizzas are coming out HOT.
😏 Britt’s mood has improved significantly.
Thank you guys SO much for sticking with us through the craziness these last few days. Seriously. We know Britt’s without pizza just isn’t Britt’s.

Well… this weekend officially hates us.

Our pizza oven suffered a major breakdown yesterday and, despite trying our absolute best to work around it, we simply can't operate Britt's the way we're supposed to without it.

We opened today hoping we could limp through with cold subs and fried food, but pretty much everyone walking through the door wants pizza, toasted subs, or something else that requires the oven.
And honestly? We don't blame you. We're a pizzeria. 😂

Rather than sit here turning people away and disappointing everyone all day, we're going to call it and close for the remainder of today.
BUT — we're going to give it another shot tomorrow for Football Sunday. 🏈
We'll be open with a limited menu of what we can make without the pizza oven, the drinks will still be cold, the games will still be on, and we're hoping you guys will come hang out with us and make the best of a really crappy situation.

We're working on getting another oven here as quickly as humanly possible, and we have someone coming Monday to hopefully get us back up and running.

This is a HUGE hit for our little business and probably the worst possible time for this to happen, but we'll figure it out. We always do.

LOCAL RESTAURANT OWNERS — JUST A HEADS UP!
Putting this out there strictly so other restaurant owners in the area are aware.
Yesterday morning this white work van pulled onto our property and helped themselves to our used fryer oil.
Am I losing sleep over some used fry oil? Absolutely not. 😂 But clearly they’re collecting it for a reason, and if they're doing it here, there's a pretty good chance they're making the rounds to other restaurants too.
I’m attaching the video so you can recognize the van and know what to look for. It’s a white Chevy Express/GMC Savana-style work van with a white ladder rack, tinted rear windows and black rear bumper.
I haven't been able to make out the license plate clearly, but if anyone happens to recognize the van or has caught it on their own cameras, feel free to shoot me a message.
Mostly just putting this out there so my fellow restaurant owners know this is happening and can keep an eye out.
Apparently even the old fryer oil isn't safe these days. 😂

Apparently I got a little carried away in the kitchen today… 🤷‍♀️
I just whipped up a batch of creamy homemade Mac & Cheese and naturally, we’re getting crazy with it.

School is officially back in full force, which means all my kitchen kids have apparently decided education is more important than making pizzas. 🙄😂
So until 3pm today, Britt will be attempting something that absolutely nobody asked for:
🍺 Bartending
🍕 Cooking
📞 Answering the phone
💰 Running the counter
🤬 Probably swearing
All at the same time.
Come hang out. Be patient. Have a drink. And if you see me sprinting from the bar to the pizza oven… mind your business. 😂
After 3, actual kitchen help arrives and I can go back to pretending I only have one job.
