Well, this is definitely not what we wanted for what was supposed to be our first full week at the Sugar Shack but...

We will be closed today as we continue to wait on our new point of sale system. We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Opening a new business is full of surprises.

Breaking News:

The tea is ready.

The lemons are ready.

The oak trees are ready.

The boats are ready.

Our POS system, however, has chosen violence.

Sweet Marie's Sugar Shack will be closed Tuesday while we straighten out a few technical issues and closed Wednesday for a family celebration.

We'll be back Thursday at Noon.

Thanks for hanging in there with us while we get the bugs worked out. We promise the tea is worth the wait. ❤️🥤

Introducing Sweet Marie's Sugar Shack!

You've probably heard we've been selling drinks down at Sloop Point Marina & Boat Storage. If you haven't, we're open Tuesday - Thursday from noon - 5pm and noon - 6pm Friday - Saturday. You've got to try that fresh sqeezed lemonade and Amber's famous tea... Wow.

What you don't know yet is that we're planning to expand that little drink shack into the Sugar Shack. That'll mean events and catering, new menu items like coffees, seasonal drinks, baked goods, ice creams, shakes, malts, floats, and ice cream sandwiches.

So, for the summer, enjoy that tea, arnold palmer, lemonade, or specialty drink down at the marina, under the big oak and watch the boats go by with us. But, starting this fall, keep an eye out all kinds of delicious treats and awesome locations.

And, keep us in mind for your next party, get together, celebration, or employee appreciation day. We'd love to join you!

DINER UPDATE:

The last of our plumbing parts have finally arrived!

We've got a couple of small repairs to make to our plumbing system and then we can turn in our application for inspection.

I know we're all VERY ready for Sweet Marie's to open and I promise, we're even more excited than you are.

In the meantime, check out Sweet Marie's Drink Shack located at 579 Lewis Rd. in Hampstead. Tuesday-Thursday from noon until 5 and Friday and Saturday until 6.

We don't use concentrate.

When you order a lemonade from Sweet Marie's Drink Shack, we're squeezing real lemons right there for your drink.

It's a little messier. It takes a little longer. But we think fresh-squeezed lemonade is worth it.

What a fantastic opening day at the Sugar Shack!!!

Thank you so much to everyone who came in on our first day of business. It meant so much to see so many new friends and all the familiar faces.

We had an absolute blast today. It's hard not to with such a beautiful view and so many great customers.

We'll be here all summer long at Sloop Point Marina & Boat Storage, right on the water.

Tuesday - Thursday from noon - 5pm
Friday and Saturday noon - 6pm

So drive over, walk up, or boat in and come say hi. Grab yourself a drink and a chair in the shade and enjoy the view with us.
