Update on Luis

We received the results from Luis's CT scan, and we are very thankful for some encouraging news.
The scan showed no specific evidence that the cancer has spread to his chest, abdomen, or pelvis. They did not see anything suspicious in his lungs, liver, bones, or other areas they examined.

There are a few small lymph nodes in his abdomen that the doctors want to keep an eye on with future scans. They are not enlarged, and the report does not identify them as cancerous.

So, while we know there is still a road ahead of us and we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, this was encouraging news for us to receive.
We continue to pray and trust God for a miracle, as surgery date approaches.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to pray for Luis. This is an answer to prayer and we trust that God will receive the honor and glory for Luis’s healing.

One day at a time. One step at a time. Trusting God and holding onto hope while we wait.

Health Update:

We’ve been holding off on sharing an update until we knew what the next step would be for Luis.

After much prayer, and a second opinion, he is now scheduled for surgery on October 6th.

We don’t know yet exactly what the surgery will look like. It could mean removing the entire stomach, or it could be removing the 2.5 cm tumor if they don’t find cancer elsewhere in his stomach. We won’t know exactly until they are in surgery.

There’s a lot to process as that date gets closer. March 6th changed our lives completely, and now, seven months later, October 6th is the day we’re preparing for.
We are praying for a miracle. We believe God is able, and we will keep asking, keep trusting, and keep believing.

Thank you for walking alongside us through this journey, for checking in, for loving us, and especially for continuously praying for Luis, our family and the medical team.
Prayers are what we need most.

We’re believing, we’re trusting, and we’re still asking God for the miracle.�
