Red Hat Society stopped in for a tour of the Switzer-Hines Hamilton Historic Home, a 4 tea tasting, and luncheon. What a fun group!

It is always a special day when we get to host a tea party for little ones. 💕

Another spontaneous tea party while in the middle of putting together the tea house! Friends don’t mind mess🧡! Sherry gifted me a small Santa teapot in honor of three of my favorite things: teapots, Christmas, and littleness. See if you can find Santa in his new home. (Details in comments)

Taste testing a creation I may serve at Monday’s tea party.
I whipped heavy cream with vanilla and a little powdered sugar. I used up all my lemons making a buttload of lemon curd. Finally, I wandered down my driveway to pick some mulberries.
Layered all three in a cute cup.
It tastes like summer.
Who remembers the nursery rhyme about the monkey and a mulberry bush?!🐒

Had a little taste test and tea with my friend and Guinea pig, Diane. I served French vanilla black tea, a fruit tart and lemon triangles. All gluten free! Tea room is coming along. Our opening event will be a birthday tea for a little miss who is turning 4 with 12 of her friends. I’m encouraging the adults to dress for a tea party as well. It will be an event to remember!

It was a delightful last tea before I’m off to Norway. The Gallatin, Missouri Culture Club toured the Switzerland-Hines Historical Home and then spent a relaxed afternoon having high tea and conducting a bit of club business. A vintage calendar on the wall caught the eye of one member who remarked it was from the year of her birth, 1935! We will be back for more tea parties in June 🧡🫖 Liz and Lori
