Had a little taste test and tea with my friend and Guinea pig, Diane. I served French vanilla black tea, a fruit tart and lemon triangles. All gluten free! Tea room is coming along. Our opening event will be a birthday tea for a little miss who is turning 4 with 12 of her friends. I’m encouraging the adults to dress for a tea party as well. It will be an event to remember!

It was a delightful last tea before I’m off to Norway. The Gallatin, Missouri Culture Club toured the Switzerland-Hines Historical Home and then spent a relaxed afternoon having high tea and conducting a bit of club business. A vintage calendar on the wall caught the eye of one member who remarked it was from the year of her birth, 1935! We will be back for more tea parties in June 🧡🫖 Liz and Lori

The spring tea season has begun! (Even though there will be snow on the daffodils today) Our St Patrick’s tea was such a hoot with a set of twins and their cousin. Well, it has been a minute!
It is 2026 and I am back in Missouri after 8 months of California grand-babies. I am happy to say they are all healthy and thriving.

I have missed hosting tea parties, Hamilton life, friends/family and my church community! I also know I will miss my babies so will be traveling back to California several times a year.
For these reasons I have decided to continue hosting events, tea parties, tastings/classes, and catering but not running a drop-in tea shop. The shop is moving to my family's historic home in Hamilton, 3 blocks from my original shop. I will be ready for reservations in June of 2026.

Stay tuned for progress pictures and updates on the new shop.

Although I am missing my Missouri Fall, California has it’s autumn charms as well. Misty redwood forests, dramatic beaches, blooming flowers, the Pumpkin House family home, and best of all; family!

The most charming place to have tea besides, my own shop is in Cape Town, South Africa. The is located on a little Farm with animals, flowers, wandering paths, countless little, hideaways, and magnificent views. We dropped in for homemade scones with fresh butter and cream, and a homemade spiced pear jam. We saw brownies topped with ice cream and garnished with nasturtiums go by. Everything was excellent and felt magical, especially the ducks that came to our table.
