Last chance for fresh MCM bagels before I leave for a week. But don’t worry, we have stocked up the freezer with freshly frozen bagels for you to enjoy while I am gone. And even better, for the first time, our team be able to keep the cafe open while I’m away. We will still be open regular hours next week, with cheddar biscuits, quiche, muffins, cookies and more.

I wanna give a big thanks to all of our amazing customers who come into our shop, share the word about our place, and continue to support local. We wouldn’t be able to do this business and continue doing what we love if it wasn’t for you. Please be patient with Colby and our employees next week as they will be slightly short-staffed.

I hope to see you today before I leave, we are open 8am-3pm, otherwise I’ll see you when I return.

SOUP Season is BACK and we are HERE for it! Roasted tomato soup special today. Made with fresh local tomatoes, roasted garlic, fresh basil… topped with cheddar biscuit croutons and sharp cheddar cheese. Served with our delicious grilled cheese if you choose. See you today. Open 8-3.

October is going to look a little different for us at MCM, so I wanted to share our schedule ahead of time. After a busy summer of being open all season, we have a few special things happening and a little more time off than usual this month.

I’ll be away at the beginning of October celebrating my sister’s 18th birthday. The café will still be open our regular hours while I’m gone, but since I’m the one making the bagels, there won’t be fresh bagels that week! We’ll be back to our normal bagel schedule once I’m home.

Then on October 18th, we’ll be having our MCM October Harvest Day with fresh produce, a Texican food truck, pumpkin patch & more!

Toward the end of the month, Colby and I will be taking a much-needed break to celebrate my 21st birthday and our 6th anniversary. We both work really hard to keep the café running, and as much as we love what we do, we try to make it a priority to take this time each year to slow down, spend time together, and celebrate us.

We’ll be closed October 20th–28th and back on the 29th. We’re so incredibly grateful for all of you who support us and make it possible for us to take a break like this. None of what we do would be possible without you guys, and we truly appreciate every person who walks through our doors, shares our posts, tells a friend about us, or continues to come back. Thank you for making MCM what it is. ❤️

The Optimist tells the incredible story of Herbert Heller, who escaped from Auschwitz at just 15 years old. It’s a beautiful and moving story about connection, love, and perseverance that we’re so excited to share. ❤️

This film is especially close to our hearts after 12 years and counting of my amazing mom’s journey bringing this story to life 🥹💗 Come spend this rainy afternoon with us and experience this very special film!
