Tower to API crew… we’ve got a special mission this week.🇺🇸🛩️

Our friends at the American Legion Post 426 are collecting for members of the 127th from Selfridge who are currently deployed... and you know we weren’t going to sit this one out.

We’ve had some of the Selfridge crews land on training nights and make their way into API for dinner. We may not know which of those faces, or if any of them, are overseas right now, but that doesn’t really matter. If they fly in our skies, train in our backyard and serve our country, they’re our people.♥️🤍💙

So we’re turning API into a drop zone now through Saturday. Bring in new packaged toiletries, socks, T-shirts, snacks, drink mixes, coffee, cards and anything else listed on the flyer. Monetary donations can come to us too at the bar, or you can use the QR codes on the flyer.

Saturday evening, we’ll load up everything we've collected and get it over to the Legion.

Yeah… this one is kinda right in our flight path and just feels right. The drop zone is in the vestibule (monetary donations not using the QR code can go to the bar envelope).

Alright, you’ve got your orders.... Now let’s fill this drop zone!! 🍻🇺🇸

Michigan tomatoes are at their peak… so how could we not??🍅✈️

Tomato Week is landing at API!

Fresh Michigan tomatoes, corn, peppers, fruit and basil... locally grown and coming from Michigan farmers while the getting is GOOD.

And when it’s this fresh, it doesn’t need to be fancy or overly executed to be really darn good (Kind of like us.🤣😎)

Everybody has their favorite way to eat a Michigan tomato, and we weren’t about to pick just one. So consider this our flight of some classics, but with a little API twist of course!🍅😉

Think fresh tomato sandwich. An old school stuffed tomato with tuna salad. Margherita pizza. Garden caprese salad/wrap And because this is the Airport Inn, naturally a couple of those tomatoes found their way behind the bar too.🍸 Ever had a fresh tomato martini?? Um let's just say if August we're a drink, this would be it!!

Turns out, not everything needs to be flown in.🍻✈️

Thanks to our friends at Gracias' Greenhouse we’re getting fresh, locally grown Michigan tomatoes, green onions and peppers straight into the API kitchen.

Local ingredients = Five-Star Dive Bar food.

Burgers, wraps, subs, salads, fried favorites - nothing overly fancy. Just good food, done really well. 5-Star Dive Bar standards. 😎🍔

Full + part-time available. Must be able to work days, nights and weekends. Experience and a solid work ethic are a must. Competitive pay based on experience.
