There are moments in life where you look back and realize every chapter had a purpose.
When I first started culinary school years ago, my dream was always to one day own my own bakery. From my days working for the Ritz-Carlton in California and Arizona, to working with Disney, to helping open bakeries in Des Moines and Grinnell, and later having the incredible honor of serving as a Cake Decorator at Hy-Vee for several years, every experience helped shape the passion and vision I carry today.
But more than anything, I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom while still doing what I loved most. So in 2020, during one of the most uncertain times imaginable, I took a leap of faith and started my own business during COVID.
Today, I sit here overwhelmed with gratitude.
To every customer — near and far — thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your visions, your celebrations, your milestones, and some of the most meaningful moments in your lives. Whether it’s birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, graduations, or simple moments worth celebrating, it is an honor to bring your ideas to life.
What many may not realize is that you have given me so much more than business. You have helped provide the life I dreamed of for my children. You have supported a small-town business, encouraged my creativity, and allowed me to continue doing what I love while being present for the people I love most.
For that, I can never thank you enough.
