Though I am not continuing my journey in the land of sandwiches I am excited someone is carrying the torch and making a go of it. Swing by sometime and try it out. Cold subs made the classic way❤️

You asked, so here it is! 👨‍🍳

As a former Deli Owner, these are the spices I always keep on hand and actually use. The right seasonings can completely change a dish without making cooking complicated.

What spice do you swear by? Drop it in the comments—I may feature it in a future video!

Ever wonder what someone who spent years running a deli thinks while walking through Walmart's kitchen aisle? 😅

I wandered through mostly out of boredom, but ended up talking about the kitchen tools I'd actually buy, the ones I'd skip, a few lessons I learned along the way, and even gave my thoughts on the grilling section.

If you love cooking, kitchen gadgets, or just enjoy hearing someone nerd out about food, this one's for you.

🎥 What's Been Happening - And What's Next

A quick update on where things stand, what we've been working through, and what's ahead.

I'm also looking for a little help from the community:
• Content creators who'd like to collaborate on future projects.
• Advice or connections for storing or liquidating restaurant equipment.

I appreciate everyone who's reached out and supported us. This isn't the end of the story - it's just the next chapter.

❤️🍦 One Last Scoop. One Last Goodbye. 🍦❤️

Tonight at 6PM, following the Farmers Market and before Music in the Park, we'd love to see you one more time.

We'll be handing out a limited number of free ice cream cups and free drinks as a small thank you to the community that supported us for so many years.

Come grab a scoop, grab a drink, share a memory, and say goodbye one more time in a much more relaxed atmosphere than our final day.

If you'd like to contribute, we'll have a free will donation jar available, but most importantly, we just want the chance to spend a little more time with the people who made Jay's Deli what it was.

The love, kindness, stories, hugs, and support we've received from Grinnell over the past few weeks have meant more than we can possibly express.

We are incredibly grateful for this community and for every person who ever walked through our doors.

So stop by, enjoy some ice cream, and let us thank you one more time before heading over to Music in the Park.

We love you, Grinnell. ❤️

❤️ One More Scoop, One More Chance to Say Hi ❤️

Tomorrow night during Music in the Park, we'll be hosting a free ice cream social right here at Jay's.

If you'd like to stop by, grab a free cup of ice cream from our freezer, say hello, share a memory, or just hang out for a bit in a much more relaxed setting, we'd love to see you.

First, thank you.

The support we received on Memorial Day was overwhelming in the best possible way. The kindness, the stories, the hugs, the tears, the laughter, and the sheer number of people who came out to say goodbye meant more to us than we'll ever be able to put into words.

Over the last week, we've also been humbled by the countless messages, comments, conversations, and well wishes we've received while out and about in the community. Every one of them has reminded us just how lucky we were to be part of Grinnell.

As for what's next, we're still exploring possibilities.

We're open to ideas, conversations, partnerships, investors, buyers, creative solutions, or anything else that might help write the next chapter of Jay's. If something comes to mind, we'd love to hear from you.

You can reach us here on Messenger or at:
📧 [email protected]

For now, we'd just love another chance to spend some time with the people who made this place special.

So come grab some free ice cream, enjoy the music, and let us say thank you one more time. ❤️

We'll see you tomorrow night.
