Happy Friday!

We have some more good news! We have decided to open up for dine in this weekend, with shortened hours and a limited menu 🤗

Don’t worry, it’s not going to be anywhere as limited as these last few days of carryout, but it will be a partial menu. We have been able to prep and get product for a little over half our menu, but there is still so much to do. Please be patient and continue to support! We are grinding everyday to get back to some semblance of normalcy!

Unfortunately, we have lost thousands in product, suffered serious equipment damage, and being that we are a completely from scratch kitchen, we have so much prep work to do on top of clean up and all around damage control/restoration. We understand it may be frustrating to not have your favorite menu items, but we are asking that you all just bear with us as we are navigate these rough waters. In return, we promise to give you the freshest eats with a smile along the way 😀

Also, if there is anything that we have asked of you, PLEASE support local during these times! We know that everyone is struggling. Times are freaking tough and we are all likely spending money that we don’t have on repairs and clean up. What we are asking is that when you do choose to eat out, support your local businesses. Our little restaurants are what make our communities so wonderful.

Ever seen some cry spoiled turkey? Just Meg? Just as we thought 😂

Clean out, assessing damage, restoration, and prep has been underway all week and we still have so much to do. As you can see, Meg is beside herself 😩

That being said, we are open today for carryout only, and as of right now, Alex got our computer system running! This means we can take cash OR card today and this little development is feeling a little more positive 🙃 we have a little extra pep in our step, if you will. Don’t be fooled though there were SEVERAL tantrums in the process 😭

Unfortunately, we have lost thousands in product and being that we are a completely from scratch kitchen, we have SO MUCH prep work to do on top of clean up and all around damage control/restoration. Please bear with us while we are navigating these rough waters, and in return, we promise to give you the freshest eats with a smile along the way 😀

All that to say, as of right now, we will be operating at partial capacity (Togo only) with a very limited menu, while we continue cleanup efforts, and begin ordering, prepping, and working toward some semblance of normalcy. Our home is to open the restaurant for dine in this weekend with a limited menu. Fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏼

Oh, and Mom has been baking her little heart out! So least we have some dessert to make things a little less sh*tty 🫠

We are open today for carryout only, and as of right now, Alex got our computer system running! Look who isn’t napping anymore 🤣

We are here, hard at work, the phones are ringing, and we are (kinda) happy. Well, everyone except Meg 🙄 she said, “Will smile for Modelos.” Do with that info what you will.

We are here until 7pm, with our (very) limited menu, but if these phones keep ringing, we will keep cooking!

Good News Shipwreck Crew 👍🏼

Well… good news and bad news 🙄 we will start with the good news first, because we think it softens the blow 😂

The good news is (obviously) that we have power. Also, will also be open for a few hours today, our usual off day, taking Togo orders.

Now for the kinda crappy news… we aren’t sure how long it will take us to be fully functional. As we said in previous posts, we were able to save about 1/3 of our product with a generator and a few coolers/deep freezers. The problem is that majority of our product is stored in massive walk in units… this means we had to save what we could and say adios to the rest. Unfortunately, we have lost thousands in product and being that we are a completely from scratch kitchen, we have SO MUCH prep work to do on top of clean up and all around damage control.

All that to say, as of right now, we will be operating at partial capacity (Togo only) with a limited menu. Today, tomorrow, and Thursday will for sure be carryout only with a very limited menu, while we continue cleanup efforts, and begin ordering, prepping, and working toward some semblance of normalcy. We are hoping that by Thursday we can also do bar service to add a little razzle dazzle to the mix.

As of now, today will be cash only. Our phones are working, but our computer system/server is still struggling to reboot. We are hoping we won’t need new equipment to get it functional, but that’s to be determined.

Please, if there is anything that we have asked of you, support local during these times! We know that everyone is struggling personally. Times are freaking tough and we are likely all spending money that we don’t have on repairs and clean up. What we are asking is that when you do choose to eat out, support your local mom and pops. Happy (or maybe not so happy) Sunday, Shipwreck friends 👋🏼

As you can see, still no power at The Wreck, and if our appearance doesn’t give it away, still no power at home either 🫠

We have been working hard to clear out product that could not be saved, refilling gas, doing oil changes, and kicking our pos generator between 3-5 times per day, on average. Quite honestly, it’s beginning to feel as if this is our new way of life 🙄 hey, but we aren’t complaining (well not a lot), because we feel lucky to have our (very hot and moist) home, each other (even when we want to karate chop one another), and a decent sense of humor (although it’s becoming quite dark by day 6), to navigate this whole ordeal 🤪

At this point, we aren’t sure when we will be up and running. While we hope it’s sooner than later, we have so much cleanup, ordering, and massive prep to do when we are finally functional. Our hope is that when that time comes, you all will support us in rising up from ruins of all that has been lost and show us patience as we continue to navigate this uncharted territory.

We are sending so many positive vibes your way that you all are doing well, staying safe, and have a little more sanity left than we do.

Greetings Shipwreck Friends 🖖🏼

It’s Shipwreck’s Captain, Alex here. I finally have service to make a quick post 😩

We are without power at Shipwreck and at home. We were lucky to save as much as we possibly could, but unfortunately, lost more than we would like to admit 😭

That’s okay though! We are all safe, with a place to lay our heads at night, and we will deal with the rest when we can.

We are hoping you all are safe and making the best of a really crummy situation!

Hopefully, our next update will be with good news! Do your best to try and enjoy the unexpected time with your loved ones, and we will all figure this out, as a community, when we are able ☺️
