Hey everyone! Since itβs been a bit, and we have a lot of new friends, I figured it was time to retell our story!
Hi, Iβm Emily! I own little leaf! I started little leaf in 2023 after my life got rerouted a bit. In 2020, when I was 14 y/o I was thrown from my horse and broke my back in 5 places and herniated a disc in my back. After that I was no longer physically able to join the military. I think in a way that was Gods version of telling me βthis is not for youβ. I worked at a coffee shop for a bit over a year, from 16-17. Since I wasnβt 18, I wasnβt able to progress in the company. I couldnβt get promoted, I couldnβt have responsibilities beyond just barista. After that year I was tired of just being a plain old barista. I started researching and looking online about coffee shops. I decided βyeah, Iβm gonna do thatβ and I did! I found the coffee trailer for sale. And decided to get it! Its first day operational was my graduation party from highschool. Its first day opened to the public was June 11th 2023. I started out with 8 employees. I trained them to mainly run the trailer without me while I still worked my other job. While I was at a greer alive event in October of 2023, a man came up to the window asking to speak with the owner. He introduced himself as Val Kang, the owner of Cartwright foodhall. We decided to go for it and moved in, in May of 23 just operating out of our cart. Since we were still growing I worked every single hour we were open, over 91 hours a week. Thatβs not even counting baking hours, catering hours and after hours back office work. After about a year due to the building closing we had to move. Me moved into a spot next to the green laundry lounge in Greer shortly after that in September and opened in October of 2025. Now here we are 3+ years later, 2 carts (almost three), one trailer, and one store! We appreciate everyone who has supported us along the way and we look forward to many more years to come βΊοΈ I also wanted to thank everyone whoβs helped me and supported me along the way. I wouldnβt have been able to do any of it without them! I love you guysπ€
