Reality is setting in that we only have 7 days left until our doors close for good. So many of your have asked what our last days will look like and how you can get your Bread and Butter fix before it’s gone.

Here’s how things will go until July 12:

✔️We will be open on July 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, and 12 from 11-2:00.

✔️We will list the regular menu items available each day as we sell through the last of our inventory.

✔️Quart containers of smoked tuna salad, chicken salad, and deviled egg salad will be available to purchase by Venmo or CashApp (pricing and instructions below).

✔️Gallons of our House Lemonade and Sweet Tea will be available to purchase by Venmo or CashApp. Flavors include Blue Lemonade (butterfly pea flower), Golden Lemonade (turmeric), and Beet Juice Lemonade (beets and carrots).

To place orders from the list below, please comment on this post. You may send payment via Venmo or CashApp. Your order will be confirmed once payment is received. Orders will be available for pickup the following business day.

Dear Greenwood,

After four beautiful, challenging, soul-stretching years, The Bread and Butter Shoppe is closing its doors.

This decision didn’t come lightly. We’ve poured our hearts into this little place, into our food, our mission, and the belief that a small restaurant offering clean, delicious, and nutritious meals could thrive in the Delta. And for a time, it did. We made memories here. We met so many people in different stages of life. We hosted classes, taught kids in the community to cook from scratch, served up love on every plate, and built something we are proud of. But the truth is a small business can’t survive on love alone.

Inconsistent staffing and limited local support, among other things, made it harder and harder to keep going. That’s the reality many small businesses face. It’s not a lack of passion, not bad food, but simply not enough hands or dollars to stay afloat.

To those of you who showed up again and again, THANK YOU❤️. You came often. You told your friends and family. You offered prayers and encouraging words. You made the dream real.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be serving our last meals with our final goodbye the week of July 12.

And as we say goodbye, I want to leave you with this: where you spend your dollars matters. It shapes your community. Every time you choose a local spot over a chain, you’re voting for something more than convenience. You make the impossible possible right here at home.

Bread and Butter may be closing, but the mission continues in new ways, and I hope our story reminds you that good things can grow here. They just need the ground to be ready. Sow on…
