I did a thing!!!🍬

Earlier this year, I decided to file for a trademark for Candy Connection and handle the process on my own.

Fast forward 8 months, and here we are!

CANDY CONNECTION® IS OFFICIALLY A REGISTERED TRADEMARK!

And I have to say, I’m pretty freaking proud of myself for this one. ❤️

What does community mean to you?

For me, it’s always been so much more than just owning a store in town.

It’s knowing the kids who walk through the door. Being patient with them. Explaining why something isn’t okay instead of just getting annoyed. Helping them make a better choice. Reminding them to say please and thank you. Giving them a chance to fix something without making them feel embarrassed.

Sometimes I feel like owning this store has become a mix of shop owner, mom, teacher and cheerleader.

And I really love that part of it.

Because community isn’t just about where your business is. It’s about caring about the people who walk through your doors and feeling like, in some small way, you become part of their lives too.

I may have chosen Old Greenwich, but I didn’t realize how much Old Greenwich would choose me back. 💜
