The 2026 Tennessee Alternative Education Association (TAEA) Conference is taking place July 8β9 at Springfield High School, bringing more than 90 alternative education professionals from across Tennessee to Robertson County. The event was organized by Dr. Mary Jo Holmes, Principal of Robertson County Phoenix Academy.
The annual conference provides professional development focused on best practices in alternative education, student engagement, classroom management, behavior intervention strategies, and supporting the unique needs of students in alternative learning environments. It also gives educators the opportunity to network, collaborate, and share innovative ideas that help students succeed.
Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Robertson County Economic Development Board, was proud to welcome these dedicated educators by providing door prizes for the conference. A special thank you to Lena Tharpe with the Farmer Insurance - Hamilton Agency for generously providing breakfast from Helen Donuts.
We are honored to host these dedicated educators in Robertson County and hope our guests enjoy their time in our community while gaining valuable knowledge and resources to take back to their schools.
Welcome to Robertson County, and thank you for the important work you do for Tennessee's students!
