Seattle, thank you.

The Northwest Tea Festival may be over, but this is often when some of my favorite orders arrive.

Someone tasted a tea at the table and kept thinking about it.

Someone went home with one tea and decided they should have bought the other one, too.

Or someone discovered Cultivate Taste Tea for the first time and is now ready to explore beyond what they could taste in a busy festival weekend.

If that's you, don't try to recreate the entire festival experience one ounce at a time.

Build from what you loved.

Explore a curated collection. Move into a higher reserve. Or let me continue the selection for you through Jennifer's Private Tea Reserve.

And if you weren't in Seattle at all, you're not late to anything.

The full Cultivate Taste Tea collection is available online.

Exceptional tea travels very well.

Seattle, you're next.

This weekend I'll be at the Northwest Tea Festival with Cultivate Taste Tea.

I'll also be teaching The Nuance of Oolong: Craft, Terroir, and Time, exploring three teas and the remarkable ways craftsmanship and processing shape what eventually appears in your cup.

If you're coming to the festival, don't just stop by to say hello.

Tell me what you drink now. I'll help you decide what deserves a place in your tea collection next, and you may go home with something you weren't planning to buy.

Not going to be in Seattle?

You don't need to wait for a tea festival to explore Cultivate Taste Tea.

Our single-origin teas, curated collections, reserves and Jennifer's Private Tea Reserve are available online. https://cultivatetaste.com/curated-collections/

Not every tea needs to be extraordinary.

But some should be.

There are teas I select because they offer something beyond a very good everyday cup: unusual craftsmanship, limited production, heritage, age, provenance or a particularly compelling expression of origin.

Those are the teas that belong in Cultivate Taste Tea's higher reserves.

For someone just beginning with specialty tea, they may not be the first purchase I'd recommend.

For the experienced tea drinker who already understands the difference between “good” and genuinely memorable, that's another matter.

The Collector's Reserve is where I would begin.

These are teas selected for people who aren't looking for more tea.

They're looking for the tea worth having.

I love seeing where Cultivate Taste Tea travels.

One of our recent wholesale customers is NEW PLANTA NOMAD in New York City.

Seeing our teas selected by another business is particularly meaningful because they're deciding what they want to put in front of their own customers.

That's a responsibility I understand well.

Cultivate Taste Tea works with restaurants, boutique hotels, wineries and specialty retailers that want pure, single-origin loose-leaf tea selected with the same attention they bring to the rest of their customer experience.

If you've discovered Cultivate Taste Tea through one of our wholesale partners, I'd love to know where you found us.

And if you own or manage a hospitality or specialty retail business and have been considering a more distinctive tea program, let's talk about what would fit your customers.

Wholesale inquiries are open. https://cultivatetaste.com/wholesale/

I'm at the Pennsylvania Tea Festival this weekend with Cultivate Taste Tea.

One of my favorite parts of tea festivals isn't simply introducing someone to a new tea.

It's watching what happens when they taste several exceptional teas with enough attention to notice the differences.

If you're here, come see me, and don't just ask what's popular.

Tell me what you drink now and what you love about it.

I'll help you find the tea, or collection, I think deserves to go home with you.

Not in Pennsylvania this weekend? The full Cultivate Taste Tea collection is available online, including our curated tea collections and reserves.

Good tea doesn't require a festival ticket.

and Your tea collection shouldn't look exactly the same six months from now.

Tea is agricultural. Seasons change. Lots change. Exceptional small-production teas disappear. And your palate changes as you taste more.

That's part of the pleasure.

Some customers return to Cultivate Taste Tea for a tea they already know. Others ask me what they should explore next.

After nearly 30 years in tea and advanced professional cupping work, that second question is one of my favorites.

If you've ordered from Cultivate Taste Tea before, tell me what you've been drinking and what you've particularly enjoyed about it.

I'll point you toward where I'd take your palate next.

And yes, I may tell you it's time to move up a level.

Buying an exceptional tea one ounce at a time is one way to explore.

Building a collection lets you experience considerably more.

At Cultivate Taste Tea, I curate pure, single-origin loose-leaf teas so you can explore how origin, cultivar, elevation, craftsmanship and processing change what ultimately appears in the cup.

A thoughtfully chosen collection lets you make those comparisons side by side: several expressions of oolong, Japanese green teas with distinctly different characters, or teas that reveal what happens as processing and age transform the leaf.

It is the difference between simply having tea in the cupboard and developing a tea collection.

If you've been ordering one tea at a time, I recommend exploring one of our curated collections next. You'll experience more, and you'll begin noticing distinctions that are much harder to recognize when teas are tasted months apart.

Which would you build around first: oolong, Japanese green tea, white tea or dark tea?

“Premium” is easy to put on a package.

Quality is harder to fake.

Origin. Cultivar. Elevation. Harvest. Processing. Craftsmanship. And ultimately, what is actually in the cup.

I have spent nearly 30 years in the tea industry and use that experience to select pure loose-leaf teas for Cultivate Taste Tea from tea-producing regions around the world.

For me, the goal has never been to carry the most tea.

It is to carry tea worth drinking.

Most corporate gifts are forgotten surprisingly quickly.

The ones that aren't usually have one thing in common: they feel chosen for the recipient rather than ordered from a promotional catalog.

Cultivate Taste Tea offers premium corporate tea gifts for companies looking for something distinctive for executives, clients, speakers, partners and important business relationships.

I personally select pure loose-leaf teas from respected tea-producing regions around the world. No flavored blends. No tea bags. No logo-covered promotional merchandise.

Just exceptional tea presented as an actual gift.

Corporate gifting is available for individual executive gifts as well as larger business orders.

If your company is planning fall or year-end gifting, now is an excellent time to begin the conversation.

Four teas can tell a much more interesting story than one.

A well-chosen tea collection isn't simply several packages put into a box. Each tea should earn its place.

It might reveal different elevations, cultivars, production methods, regions or expressions of one tea tradition. That comparison is part of what makes serious loose-leaf tea so interesting.

Cultivate Taste Tea collections contain no more than four teas. I prefer a smaller, deliberate selection over filling a collection simply to make it appear larger.

These are designed for people who want to experience exceptional tea with intention and for those who would rather have fewer, better things.
