Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Beloved Customers,

It is with a mix of deep gratitude and a heavy heart that we share some significant news with our community. After nearly seven wonderful years, Gold Rush Cookie Company will be closing its doors on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

This was an extremely difficult decision — one we did not arrive at lightly. As we look toward the next chapter of our lives and our goal of retirement in the coming years, along with some personal circumstances, we have made the bittersweet choice to step away from this business we have poured our hearts into for so long.

What we have built here over the past seven years is something we are incredibly proud of — not just the cookies, but the community that grew around them. Grass Valley and all of Nevada County have embraced us in ways we never could have imagined, and that support has meant everything to us. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for every visit, every smile, and every kind word. You have made this journey truly special.

We are happy to share that the business is still for sale, and we are actively seeking the right person or family to become the next caretakers of Gold Rush Cookie Company — someone who will cherish and carry on the traditions we have built here in this wonderful community. If you or someone you know may be interested, please reach out to us directly via email.

We hope to see many of you over these final days of operation. Come in for one last cookie — or a few. We will be here with open arms and warm ovens until the very end.

Add some joy to your day!! This weekend we have a strawberry lemon curd tart, our famous scones and Campground S’More cookies…. and Nevada County’s favorite cinnamon rolls! We are open Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM, Sunday 9 AM to 4PM. We are conveniently located in downtown grass Valley, plenty of parking in sunshine!

Just in time for Mother’s Day weekend is the Strawberry Cloud Roll, a tasty twist on our classic cinnamon roll. Available this weekend only at our bakery located at 104 E. Main Street in the heart of downtown Grass Valley. We are open today until 6 PM, and tomorrow until 4 PM.

Celebrate Mom! For this weekend have we got something special for Mom!! How about a London Fog cookie with lavender Swiss meringue? We’ve also got our legendary cinnamon rolls available with and without our scrumptious cream cheese frosting. And don’t forget our cookies. Sunday 5/3. A few little nuggets to feast your eyes on. First is our pistachio cream linzer cookies. Next, the classic Italian espresso drink the Traditional Macchiato. And last, but not least, our upcoming cookie of the month, the London Fog. Earl Grey infused cookie with a lavender cream frosting. We are open today until 4 PM. Our bakery is located at 104 E. Main St. in the heart of Downtown Grass Valley.
