🚨 CHINOOK PASS OPENS TODAY! 🚨

Highway 410 over Chinook Pass officially reopens today at 8:00 a.m. — which means one of the greatest damn motorcycle roads in Washington is finally back on the table for the 2026 riding season.

To celebrate, GMRW Map #14 — Chinook Pass Hwy 410 — is now live on the GMRW Motorcycle Maps page complete with downloadable GPX/KML files, rider information, route history, and our new rider notes system.

This ride has a little bit of everything:
🏍️ sweepers
🏔️ alpine scenery
🌲 deep forest
🪨 cliffside drop-offs
☀️ eastern Washington canyon country
…and enough mountain air and scenery to remind you why we put up with winter in the first place.

⚠️ Fair warning:
If heights make your ass pucker a little, there are sections of this road where the mountain falls away beside you with very little between the pavement and a very long damn drop.

We are also actively building out rider notes for this route and want YOUR input.

🛑 ALSO:
Riders crossing Chinook Pass this season can currently receive a 15% food discount at Whistlin' Jack's Lodge and Outpost by mentioning GMRW when ordering food in the restaurant.

Several riders from the community have already stopped in and reported great food, great service, cold drinks, and a parking lot full of motorcycles — which honestly sounds exactly like the kind of s**t we like to hear after crossing the mountains.
