Where does one begin when attempting to put into words, an experience as fulfilling and as humbling as being Miss Teen USA?
My road to the crown was a 7-year long journey that began with a reserved, shy, timid young girl who was simply searching for an opportunity to gain self-confidence. What I gained however was far more than I could have even imagined.

This life-altering process allowed me the opportunity to gain confidence in myself, the passion to pursue my dreams, and the purpose to fulfill my goals.
When I first stepped onto the Miss Florida Teen USA stage, I was apprehensive, uncertain, and full of immense self-inflicted pressure. That year I literally fell on stage and with a broken heart I thought that my Teen USA experience was over as quickly as it had begun. After reflecting on the experience, I decided that a failure will never deflate me, but rather strengthen me.
I returned to the stage the following year, not with the focus to only win the title, but more-so on the journey itself and the rewarding work that one can do by participating in this program.
Winning the state title was the culmination of a positive change in focus and an optimistic belief in myself.
My ultimate goal was accomplished when I was crowned the first Miss Teen USA from the Sunshine State. It is tough to believe that a dream 7 years in the making is now coming to an end.

Having had the honor of serving as the first ever Afro Latina Miss Teen USA it was my goal to leave a legacy and to make an impactful mark on each person I met along the way. To every young girl who has a dream, and has constantly been told “no,” who doubts themselves, or even falls, just remember … “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in raising every time we fall.”

Every goal and every dream that you set for yourself can be accomplished through hard work and dedication. I hope to have served as a role model and as an example for anyone reading this, to strive to pursue and accomplish each one of your goals, no matter how crazy or insane they may seem. There is never a dream too big!☁️🫶🏾✨
