Meet Denia Burch — a.k.a. "The Legacy Builder" — General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Grand Rapids East (Suburban Inns).

Denia's story is a real one: Front Desk Agent in 2017. By 2019, while juggling a 2nd shift laundry job, running her father's business, and raising two kids as a single mom, she found her "forever home" with Suburban Inns during the opening of the Embassy Suites Downtown — and she hasn't looked back since. 💛

2nd Shift Housekeeping Supervisor (2020) → Spring GR Business Development Program grad (2021) → Executive Housekeeper leading a team of nearly 70 (2022) → Suburban Inns Leadership Award nominee (2024) → Assistant GM at Hilton Garden Inn GR East (2024) → General Manager (September 2025). That's not a straight line — that's grit.

Along the way, Denia used Suburban Inns' professional development funding to complete a Hospitality, Tourism & Business Management program through Florida Atlantic University, and today she pays it forward — pointing her team toward GRCC and FAU courses and the Hospitality Training Institute of Michigan so they can grow too. That's the legacy she's building. 🌟
