Now Roasting: Alirio Muñoz Ortega, Pink Bourbon

Alirio’s farm feels unlike much of Huila. Rolling hills, dense forest, and a river cutting through the property create a landscape closer to a tropical jungle than the steep terrain surrounding it.

Alongside his wife Anayibe and their children, Alirio cultivates Pink Bourbon, Ombligon, Ají, Pacamara, Sidra, and Chiroso across carefully separated parcels. With expanded drying space and ongoing investment in quality control led by his son Fabian, the future of these coffees continues to grow.

Until now, we’ve called this space Ferndale.

But over time, it became clear this cafe should follow the same language as the rest of our spaces. Rooted in the streets and neighborhoods they belong to.

We’re proud to release the first of two variety separations from Finca La Terraza, a model farm towering over Southern Huila. Through organic practices and immaculate processing, this coffee expresses terroir with remarkable clarity. High elevation, cool nights, and dialed processing come together in a washed Java brimming with juiciness in the cup, with notes of eucalyptus, key lime, and lychee.

Currently Brewing: Juan Angel + Irvin Izaguirre

From Santa Bárbara, Honduras, a shared story across generations.

We’ve had the honor of working with Juan Angel since 2014. This year, alongside his lot from Los Ciruelos. Releasing a second coffee from his son Irvin, grown on La Montaña, a high-elevation parcel passed down within the family.
