Hearts of Gold East Grand Rapids is a community fundraiser in East Grand Rapids where students, parents, educators, administrators and community members come together to raise funds and generate awareness for a local nonprofit organization.

This year, Ronald McDonald House West Michigan was honored to be selected as the supported nonprofit, and were awarded with a donation of $101, 958 during the Hearts of Gold football game this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who helped raise money for the local families supported by the Ronald McDonald House while their children receive life changing care! ❤️💛

Opportunity®, the McDonald’s System’s signature education and career advising program. Eligible team members at participating restaurants can:

💛 Earn a high school diploma
❤️ Take ESL classes
💛 Receive tuition assistance
❤️ Access free educational and career guidance from advisors

For more than nine years, Archways to Opportunity® has supported McDonald’s diverse crew
community. In 2024 alone, nearly $1.5 million in tuition assistance helped over 660 local restaurant employees in Michigan reach their educational goals.
