To our JW’s friends and family:

The other shoe has dropped. Since January we have been in a holding pattern not sure of our future. We have waited to see what the landlord would do with repairs to the building and thus what we could or could not do. He has opted to rent the south end of the building to one business which is not JW’S. We scoured the area looking for a new space to move our café. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the right size space or rent that was feasible for us to continue as a coffee house. So, at this time we have decided to ride off into the sunset leaving JW’s as a positive local memory to all that supported our business. I personally wish to thank each one who supported us over our nine years in the community. Not only will we be missed, we too will miss all who supported us and the four-legged friends who visited the café weekly.

In another sad note Jim Stirling who was a regular at the café as well as our greeter to all has passed away. Like JW’s he too will be missed RIP Jim.

To all it's now three months since the fire closed our cafe and unfortunately there has been no progress. This is not how we wanted to celebrate our 9th anniversary. Hopefully something will be known this month on our future. We want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Those going on spring break enjoy the warm weather and be safe. Don't drink and drive unless it's coffee. We will return.

It has been 30 days since the fire in our mall has forced us to close.The initial time frame of 90 days is no longer feasible. were now looking at 6-9 months to rebuild our business. The building is empty except for the studs so now must be brought up to current codes,thus more money and time.Were up for the challenge so we can once again serve our community which has so graciously supported us. We will keep you updated as we run through this rebuilding process.

It has now been 2 weeks since the fire and although the progress has been slow, today they have started throwing out the food and inventory that has come in contact with the smoke and soot. We were notified this afternoon that none of our dining chairs were salvageable as they were unable to be cleaned. We continue to thank you for your support and look forward to getting our café up and running again for your enjoyment. Please take a look at our go fund me page for more details.

I have set up a gofundme account to assist with the rebuild. Thank you to anyone who donates. We want to stay apart of the community that we have been in for 20 years.

On Tuesday January 9th, 2018 at approximately 3am a fire broke out in the unit next to our café. Resulting in a flood of water rushing into the café, pipes melted in the restrooms and water was flowing in and the rooftop unit for our café is located above the fire destroying it along with the se....

To all of our JW fans:

At approximately 3 AM this morning a fire broke out in the nail salon next to our café. We will be closed until further notice as we have smoke and water damage. Please pray for a quick turnaround and recovery. We will keep you posted as to when we will re-open. We are extremely thankful that no one was injured.

We want to recognize the Grand Rapids Township fire department for all their hard work today!

OK the new art is up in the cafe. This months art is a family affair. Starting with our own Leah-May along with her mother Deana and her sister Cheryl. Displaying a nice variety of paintings and photos. So come out of the cold and enjoy a custom Latte' and enjoy the art at the same time.
