Look what made it all the way to Australia! 🇦🇺🇵🇭
One of the coolest things about Adobo Boy is the friendships we've made along the way.
We met Kuya Jem (Jemmuel Magtibay) back at our old location. He started out as a customer and eventually became a close friend. And now he's brought his Adobo Boy shirt all the way to Australia, where he's from!
But we really want to take a moment to celebrate this guy.
Jem is an incredibly talented Australian Filipino musician, band director, and session player. He's toured with Tenth Avenue North and is currently touring with Sidewalk Prophets.
And one of the biggest things we're celebrating? He recently made the move to Nashville, Tennessee, and got to play at the legendary Grand Ole Opry! How cool is that?!
We're so proud of our Filipino brother!
But beyond all the musical accomplishments, what we love most about Jem is his humility and kindness. Just a genuinely good human being who happens to be an amazing musician.
Oh, and here's a fun fact. Jem and Chef Jackie share the same birthday, October 3! 😂
We don't know when we'll see you again, bro, but we're cheering you on from Grand Rapids. We pray that more doors continue to open for you and that you keep doing what you love.
