We always appreciate that Mr. Doug Meijer never forgets to ask, “Where’s Redd?” whenever he sees us and that he’s just as quick to ask if we’ve brought our pork adobo. 😄

Ube B Baby is a hit! Fantastic work The Mitten Brewing Co.

Just tapped: "Ube-B-Baby" Lager (served with a lime wedge but no Salt-N-Pepa)!

In partnership with Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival, this light lager was developed with our friends at Adobo Boy GR - Filipino Food and is brewed with ube (a bright purple yam native to the Philippines) and coconut.

Don't let the color fool you—this deep purple beauty is all about easy drinking, bringing tropical vacation vibes in every sip. Light, crisp, and endlessly refreshing, it's best enjoyed with a squeeze of lime for the ultimate beach-in-a-glass experience.

On tap here NOW and available at GRAPF this weekend! 🍠🥥🍋

A little appreciation post for one of the unsung heroes of Adobo Boy. ❤️

Our trusty Square reader has been with us through years of festivals, pop-ups, catering events, and countless meals served. This weekend, after a busy Asian-Pacific Festival, it finally decided it was time to rest.

We're still hoping it powers on one last time, but no matter what happens, we're grateful for all the memories and every customer it helped us serve.

Here's to one last beep, old friend. 🤞❤️

We are so excited for this weekend! We hope to see you tonight and or this weekend at the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival 2026.

We are bringing out our BadBoy Baboy Food Truck

A Note from our Founder & Executive Director, Ace Marasigan

Friends,

As we get ready for the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival on June 12 & 13, I've been thinking about what makes this event so special.

Honestly, it's all of you.

It's seeing old friends reconnect, meeting new people, sharing meals, learning about different cultures, and watching our community come together in a way that doesn't happen every day.

Yes, the food is amazing.
Yes, the performances are beautiful.

But the heart of the Asian-Pacific Festival has always been the people.

As an immigrant, one of my hopes for my son was that he would grow up in a community where people feel welcomed, where cultures are celebrated, and where everyone has a place to belong.

Over the years, I've realized that hope wasn't just for my son.

It's for all of us. ❤️

Our cultures may be different, but that's exactly what makes this festival so special. Every year I leave inspired by the friendships that are formed and the connections we make with one another.

So when you come to the festival, say hello to an old friend.

And don't be afraid to say hello to a new one too.

Sometimes community begins with a simple hello.

I can't wait to see you all again.

Time to celebrate all of us.

A little Adobo Boy story ❤️

When we were first starting out, we attended a few events where we watched other booths with long lines stretching down the street while we stood there hoping someone would stop by ours.

Sometimes only a handful of people would come over. Most were just curious about who we were and what we were offering.

We won't lie—it was heartbreaking at times.

But we believed in what we were building. So we kept showing up. We kept cooking. We kept sharing our story. We kept moving forward.

That's why even today, every customer, every kind word, every returning guest, and every person who recommends us to a friend means so much to us.

The fact that more people care about what we're doing blows our minds.

Thank you for believing in our little family dream.

A quick reminder that Adobo Boy will be closed June 11–13 as we join the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival 2026. We hope you'll stop by, say hello, and celebrate community with us.

Thank you for supporting small businesses like ours. We truly wouldn't be here without you. ❤️

P.s. thats our Ube Biko at Mangga

🇵🇭❤️ **A Note from Adobo Boy**

Today, we ask our Adobo Boy friends to please keep the Philippines and especially the people of Mindanao in your thoughts and prayers following the recent earthquake.

Many of us have family, friends, and loved ones in the Philippines. Even from thousands of miles away, moments like these remind us how connected we all are.

We pray for the safety of those affected, for the first responders and emergency crews, and for the communities now beginning the process of recovery.

To everyone in Mindanao and throughout the Philippines: we are thinking of you, praying for you.

With love,

The Adobo Boy Family ❤️🇵🇭
