Good Morning Everyone,
This is Patty, the bartender at Las Maria's. I'm posting this on behalf of Maria and I'm gonna try to make this quick. It's been brought to our attention that there was a verbal altercation in our parking lot last week, during our 2 week hiatus, between a would-be customer and another gentleman whose identity has not been disclosed to me. I was told that it wasn't physical but apparently there were "words exchanged". I wasn't there to hear or see what happened therefore I don't think it's appropriate for me to speculate on what was allegedly said or done. But anyone who knows Maria knows that her #1 priority is her customers and she would NEVER EVER tolerate aggressive behavior towards her staff or her customer base whether it was inside or outside of her facility. She takes these types of situations extremely serious and after reviewing the video footage she has assured me that the person in question was identified and dealt with. She also asked me to post the attached statement and to clarify that she, in fact, owns the parking lot behind the restaurant and that it is her PERSONAL PROPERTY. With that said, she typically has no problem with non customers parking there but people need to understand that she is legally entitled to allow or refuse access to her parking lot to anyone for any reason.
