Elegant southern Vermont hotel in Grafton Village with local dining, historic accommodations, and a wedding venue.
(697)

In the heart of Grafton Village lies a southern Vermont hotel where hospitality, heritage, and natural beauty come together in perfect harmony. The Grafton Inn welcomes guests with an atmosphere that blends 19th-century roots with the warmth and comfort of a modern country retreat. Each of the inn’s 42 accommodations is uniquely decorated to reflect the spirit of Vermont. From hand-hewn beams to antique furnishings, no two rooms are alike, but all share a dedication to comfort, style, and attention to detail. Guests are surrounded by peaceful scenery, fresh mountain air, and the sounds of nature that define the village’s slower pace of life. Dining is another highlight at The Grafton Inn, where menus are guided by the seasons and crafted with care. Guests enjoy locally sourced dishes and regional beverages in atmospheric spaces, from the casual tavern to cozy fireside lounges and outdoor patios. Step outside and you’re within walking distance of covered bridges, hiking paths, and scenic swimming ponds. The village itself offers a window into Vermont’s heritage, with classic architecture, a local blacksmith, and a sense of place that’s increasingly rare. Owned by the Windham Foundation, the inn supports efforts to preserve Vermont’s rural character and cultural vitality. With thoughtful service, timeless architecture, and a setting that invites rest and reconnection, The Grafton Inn is more than a hotel—it’s a true New England destination.
