Last night was something special.

Thank you to everyone who came out for The Daytripper Watch Party. Looking across the patio and seeing so many familiar faces reminded us why we do what we do.

It’s an incredible feeling to be supported by people who genuinely understand what Southside Tavern stands for and what it means to this community. Your support never goes unnoticed and we’re grateful for every one of y’all!

A special thank you to Chet and The Daytripper crew for including us in this jam-packed episode and for shining a light on Goldthwaite, the hidden gem of the Texas Hill Country. We’re truly honored to be a small part of telling the story of Goldthwaite.

The Daytripper Goldthwaite episode premieres TONIGHT at 8:00PM on Austin PBS!!

⏰🚨NEW TIME for the Southside Tavern Watch Party — 8:30ish🚨⏰

While we had originally planned for a World Premiere simulcast, the outdoor ambient lighting isn’t going to allow us to broadcast the simulcast AT 8:00PM. Instead, we’re pushing the screening to 8:30PM-ish. A little later, but the show WILL go on!! Bring your blankets & chairs and enjoy this Daytripper episode under the stars!

The Goldthwaite episode airs on all other Texas PBS stations on Saturday.

🎣🎣 Come early for Not Fish Fryday, starting at 5PM! Hand-trimmed U.S. Raised Catfish, Grumpy’s homemade hushies and tartar, Korrin’s homemade cocktail sauce and all the fixins.

🍝POTW - Sunburnt Alfredo - sun-dried tomatoes folded into a rich, Alfredo style sauce. Add chicken or shrimp for added protein!

We’re taking the watch party to the Diamond C Construction Patio with the big screen and plenty of room for lawn chairs and blankets.

Come watch as Goldthwaite gets its moment on TV as the Daytripper showcases the people, places, food and small town spirit that make Goldthwaite special.
