My faith and my relationship with the Lord have been the one constant through some of the hardest years of my life.

When no one else is around, I pray. And time after time, God shows up.

As new business owners, we don’t get a paycheck yet and don’t have insurance. But God continues to provide. This hospital has taken such good care of us, moved us to a bigger room, and we just qualified for financial assistance with the medical bills.

Then our sweet friend Mike walked in, bought my lunch, and said, “God put me here for a reason.” His doctor’s appointment just happened to be right across the street.

Y’all, I am overwhelmed by God’s goodness. I talk about Jesus because He has carried me through things I never could have carried on my own.

Please continue praying. Ashton is scheduled for his scope today at 3:30. ❤️

I’m amazed at what God has already been doing! ♥️ He is in the middle of every moment if we choose to see him!

A few things I wanted to share! I prayed for amazing doctors and nurses through this experience! The kind that truly care! 🙏

The doctor in the ER was amazing! The nurses on the floor we were transferred to, immediately made sure I got a big comfy chair to sleep in!

They have shown so much care and compassion to and for Ashton’s condition!

Then to top it all off, our Nurse’s parents live in Godley Tx!

She has heard good things about Brewberry!!!

She said she will have to come try us out!!!

Whaaaatttt????

What are the odds?? That nurse has never worked on this floor! She is a float nurse tonight, and this is where they sent her!! She’s heard about Brewberry 😩🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Big prayers for Ashton! He will be having an EGD done in the morning! 🙏🙏🙏 we will remained closed tomorrow!

I’m so sorry! I will be running the shop while Ashton gets some rest on Wednesday!

What happened today and why we closed Brewberry!

Please bare with us, we may have different hours tomorrow too! If we are able to open 🤷‍♀️🙏 but we should definitely be able to be back to normal hours by Wednesday! God willing ♥️🙏

For those who don’t know Ashton has eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE)

EoE is a chronic inflammatory disease of the esophagus. The esophagus can become swollen, stiff, and narrowed over time.

Food getting stuck is one of the most common symptoms.

In 2022 we had to rush to the ER and have food surgically removed because it wouldn’t go down or come up!

Last night the food blocked his airway and he couldn’t breathe for a short moment! (very scary)
Severe narrowing of the esophagus can happen with scar tissue and lead to food impact! That requires emergency treatment.

We spent the first part of the today in the ER. (they didn’t have a GI doc on staff) They gave us meds and sent us home.
We left and he tried to eat lunch! Soft foods wouldn’t go down.

We are now at Baylor Scott and white all Saints in Fort Worth. He is a being admitted and they will go down with a scope tomorrow morning!

Prayers appreciated! Man ol man when it rains it pours! 🤷‍♀️
But we will not ever take for granted the blessings we still have all around us everyday!

Our God is so faithful and so good through any and every storm!♥️🙏♥️🙏

Stay tuned for Brewberry hour updates! I truly hate that we can’t be open the way we wish to be at the moment, but my son’s health is my number 1 right now! 🙏🙏♥️♥️🙏🙏 we appreciate all your love, support and understanding.
