💕 On August 20, 1932, our dear Martha Campbell was born. Martha's legacy is far reaching. She was truly a visionary and pioneer for the creation of our treasured Catlin Court Historic District. Beloved by everyone she met, Martha's touch is in every room of The Spicery and every meal that is made. Matt Borowski purchased The Spicery from Martha and continued her beautiful tradition. Matt has many wonderful memories of working side by side with Martha. Did you know that Chef Whitney worked with Martha too? This continued history is so important and we are honored to continue keeping the lineage.

🎂 We are celebrating Martha's birthday this Thursday at The Spicery. Chef Whitney is baking one of Martha's favorites....pink frosted cupcakes. Every customer on Thursday will go home with this special treat. We will be open 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Give us a call to reserve your perfect table for lunch or a tea experience. 623-937-6534.

💕 Our hearts are full thinking of our Founder, Martha Campbell, and our dear and wonderful friend Matt Borowski for his 13 years of dedication to this Happy Little Corner of the World. As the current caretakers of this precious place, we are honored to be a part of the history of The Spicery.

Start your day at the AZ Information Booth (by Memory Lane Trinkets and Treasures) to pick up your Bingo card and the activity sheet for the day.

🎨Robbin returns on Tuesday, September 8th for our next Card Making class! Reservations are required. Sign up early to reserve a spot as the class is expected to sell out. Give us a call at 623-937-6534.

✂️ The class is $25 per person and all materials are provided. Robbin will take you step by step along the way to create three beautiful cards.

📚Our Little Lending Library has been such a blessing. We are so appreciative of all your book donations.

💕 When the donations are by the Author and Illustrator of the books, it is so heartwarming! Many, many thanks to Priscilla Burris for her thoughtful donation of several of her children's books.

✍️ Phyllis counts herself blessed to have grown up right across the street from her local neighborhood public library in Los Angeles, where her love and devotion for children's books was born. Creating characters and images from ink, whether in the real world, or digitally, Priscilla delights most in bringing out the elements of expression and emotion. 🎨 The long standing summer tradition at The Spicery has been to close for a couple of weeks in August to tackle many of the behind the scenes projects in this 1895 home.

📅 This year we are switching it up a bit due to feedback we received last year to still be open a few days every week.

🫖 Our Special Summer Schedule kicks off next week and runs through August 31st. We will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday thru August 31st serving lunch and tea experiences! This still gives us time early in the week for renovations.

We will be open for a few private events (a special birthday party and a Baby Shower.) If you have a special event you hoped to have at The Spicery, please give us a call....we will be checking phone messages daily!

✔️ We will return to our Monday-Saturday schedule on September 1st.

🌞 We are very thankful for your continued support of our Happy Little Corner in Catlin Court. We look forward to seeing you this summer. We will keep the iced tea chilled!
