Picking up my great granddaughter from kindergarten… PinkGG style! 💕

Yesterday I got to pick up my great granddaughter, Kalani, from school. And let me tell you… school pickup has changed a little since I was in kindergarten. 😂

It’s been a minute… about 68 years! No lining up in your car. No sign hanging in the window. No waiting for your little one to be walked to the car before you’re on your way.

Today’s system is safe, organized and QUICK—and I have to admit, that’s exactly what needs to happen nowadays. But it did take me back…

I remember standing at the classroom door, seeing the excitement on their faces when they spotted you, hearing them say goodbye to their friends, and walking home hand-in-hand talking about what they learned that day. ❤️

But you know what hasn’t changed?

First thing you do when you get home. Taking off your shoes and socks, getting comfy, turning on your favorite shows and having a snack.

Kalani’s favorite? DILL PICKLES. 🥒
Lots and LOTS of dill pickles! 😂

Some things change. Some things stay the same. And yesterday, PinkGG got a little taste of both. 💕

Sometimes the best memories are hiding in a box. ❤️

The other day, I was digging through a box of old photos looking for something when I came across this black-and-white photo of my two granddaughters, Rylee and Alex, who now both live here in Arizona. The picture was taken during a holiday sleepover at Ed’s and my house.

Rylee was the youngest, and my son’s family had traveled all the way from Okinawa to spend the holidays with us. Little did we know, it would be the last holiday they would celebrate together with Ed. ❤️

Fast forward to this past March… and there they were again. Only this time, Rylee was a bride and Alex was standing proudly beside her as her Maid of Honor. 🥹💕

From two little girls having a holiday sleepover to these beautiful women standing together on one of life’s biggest days.

I’m sure Ed was there, watching with pride and smiling at the beautiful women they’ve become. ❤️

Some things change. Some things never do. And the good times just keep getting better. ✨

Our shelves are bare. Every week we help families experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and crisis keep their beloved pets fed so they don’t have to make the heartbreaking choice between feeding themselves or their best friend.

Right now, our dog food supply is critically low, and we need your help to restock our shelves.

🐶 Most Needed:
• Dry Dog Food
• Canned/Wet Dog Food

❤️ Small 5–8 lb bags are preferred! They are much easier for us to store, transport, and distribute to the families we serve.

Every bag you donate helps keep pets with the people who love them and removes barriers to shelter, housing, and stability.
