Sunset Slush - Classic Italian Ice® began in 2003 in North Carolina as a pushcart vending operation. There are twenty-six Independent Operators selling Sunset Slush - Classic Italian Ice® throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and now in Glen Ellyn, Illinois! About the Owners-Sunset Slush DuPage
Katie and Eric Anderson are the primary owners of Sunset Slush DuPage. The Anderson Family vacationed in Ocean Isle Beach, NC for six years and quickly fell in love with Sunset Slush. Each year, Katie would ask Eric if he thought we could make Sunset Slush work in their hometown of Glen Ellyn. As long-time residents, they felt that downtown Glen Ellyn needed a low cost, family friendly dessert destination. Finally, in October of 2013, Eric and Katie began to explore the feasibility of opening a pushcart operation. The result is that on May 20, 2014, they opened in front of Citibank at 444 N Main St. The McDonald's are also long-time Glen Ellyn residents. As neighbors of the Anderson’s, they love good Italian ice, heard about their plans, and became enthusiastic about the plan. All of the owners bring unique skills to the business, but we all share a love for Sunset Slush Italian ice and are excited about working hard to see the business grow, not only in Glen Ellyn, but hopefully in other towns nearby in the future.
