After 6 years in operation as Pale Blue Smoking Co., Owners Brandon and Becky Hodgins are selling the Stone House, and the restaurant operations within. It’s been a wild, rewarding, challenging, unbelievable ride. We’re grateful for the support, and we’re ready to tackle new opportunities, outside of the service industry.
New ownership will take control of the building this month. The new owner will be making some tweaks to fit an exciting business model, and the Stone House will continue as a food and drink establishment when it reopens. The future establishment will be rebranded, with a creative new menu. Stay tuned for more announcements on what’s to come!

The Pale Blue brand and BBQ catering operations are not being sold, and all current and future catering commitments will be honored.

Thank you so much for your support over the past 6 years. We couldn’t have grown the way we did without you all. We couldn’t have saved this big, beautiful Stone House without you all. Rest assured, this historic Downtown Gladwin monument will stand another 125 years, for all of our community to enjoy.

Heads up! Next week we’re going to start a WINTER BREAK here at Pale Blue. We will be closed for a few weeks, starting 2/27. (Re-opening date will be announced here on the FB page).

We’ve been cookin’ in the cold all winter long (we’re the only local wood-fired joint that stays open in the slow season). Some of our employees are heading off to take a well deserved vacation toward sunshine, and we will use this time to do some maintenance and deep cleaning inside this old house before the spring rush starts. We’re hoping this winter break takes us through the remainder of the slow season.

Sorry for the inconvenience…sort of…restaurant workers need a break too!

We will be here all of this week to get ya fed. Come get some good eats this week before we take a break!
