Three years ago, I opened the doors to Raw Replenish as its owner.
I remember feeling excited, hopeful… and a little scared too. I knew I was entering something that would ask more of me than I could ever imagine. I was scared but I knew I wasn’t going to give up.
Since then, so much has changed. Health challenges slowed me, relationship changes almost broke me, other locations were changing owners or closing and life felt hard.
Together Kate (founder) and I transitioned from a franchise model to a licensing partnership. We work very closely together, sharing ideas, learning from one another, and continuing to grow the Raw Replenish brand.
The past three years have tested me in ways I never expected. Like so many small business owners, we’ve navigated rising costs, changing consumer habits, staffing challenges, and an economy that has made simply keeping the doors open feel like a victory some days.
There were moments I wondered if we would make it.
But God continued to provide through the people who chose to walk through our doors.
You may have thought you were simply supporting a local business…grabbing a smoothie, fulfilling a juice bundle, picking up a breakfast or lunch combo. Everyone who has made us part of their routine, encouraged us through the storms and simply supported us over the past few years. What you were really doing was giving us another opportunity to keep serving this community we love.
That’s something I’ll never take for granted.
Owning a small business has taught me that success isn’t measured by growth or numbers. It’s measured by relationships, by overcoming challenges and obstacles that are meant to break you. It’s measured by the ability to open our doors each day and show up to serve others.
As I look back on these three years, I feel humbled by what we have accomplished together.
To our customers, team members, friends, family members, and to Kate….thank you for believing in this mission and for believing in me.
We’re still here and more grateful for that than ever.
