Mr Rice Asian Cuisine Mr. Rice was born in Guangzhou, a region in China with a rich and diverse history of cultures and cuisine.

For the past twenty years, he has been mastering creative and savory cooking techniques in order to bring these flavors to Arizona. We serve traditional American-Chinese cuisine and authentic Asian cuisine.

Dear customers and Go Gilbert friends! We wanted to personally let you know how happy we are to read that so many customers have enjoyed our food. We are truly grateful to see the response our restaurant has had on your group page, and appreciate reading about how many people are still eager to try our food. The first two weeks after opening, things were very quiet and not many customers stopped in at all. During that time, things were pretty stressful and we intentionally didn’t hire up thinking that we could handle the low number of customers on our own. That has all changed because of this community! You’ve brought tears to my eyes. We have been a little overwhelmed with the support Gilbert has shown us, and temporarily had to change our hours of operation in order to accommodate the heavy demand of our new found customers. In order to allow for more time to prep food, our hours are 12–3PM, 4:30–9PM seven days a week. Our hopes are while we are staffing up, these new hours of operation will allow us to prep more food to meet the demand of the lunch and dinner rush. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to anyone. We never expected the demand to be so high so fast, and we are making every effort to better serve you going forward. Any changes to our hours of operation will be posted on our website, instagram and page before we make any further changes as well, so please be sure to check us out. We are so thankful to have the support from all of you guys. Our family cannot thank you enough, your support has been a dream come true.

What an amazing Friday! To say that we feel blessed for the overwhelming support our tiny establishment received tonight would not do justice to how grateful our entire staff feels at this moment. For a couple hours it seemed as though all of Gilbert wanted to show us some love! Unfortunately we were not properly prepared for the incredibly high demand so we had to sadly refuse service to some of the most wonderful and patient customers a business could ever ask for. To all of those who we served and those who we failed to serve, thank you so very much for taking time out of your day to visit us. We apologize to every person who left unsatisfied with the experience. No excuse can fix that. We need to do better and we promise we will be better. For Saturday and Sunday we will temporarily be opening at 12PM in order to give us more time to prep. We will also be limiting take out orders during dinner time in order to better serve every customer that walks through our doors. We know this is not ideal but we’re planning to have a better long term solution that will allow us to handle more orders in the near future. In the mean time thank you for your continued patience!
