🍽️ A Weekend of Weddings! 💍

We had a busy weekend catering two beautiful weddings, and we wanted to give a shoutout to the two great venues that hosted them!

📍RAS Hangar in Mansfield.
The RAS Hangar is a unique wedding and event venue located on 40 acres of wooded property, combining the look of a rustic countryside setting with a spacious hangar for receptions. With both indoor and outdoor spaces, it gives couples a lot of options when planning their big day. We enjoyed getting to be a part of this weekend’s wedding and serving their guests!

📍Country Side in Gibson City
We also had the opportunity to cater at Countryside Event Center in Gibson City. We always enjoy working with the Country Side crew and getting to be a part of the events they host. It’s a great local venue with both indoor and outdoor spaces, plenty of room for larger gatherings, and some really nice spots around the property for pictures. It’s always great getting to work alongside a local venue that does so much for the community and gives couples a great place to celebrate.

A big shoutout to both venues for having us this weekend, and congratulations to both couples! We appreciate being able to be a part of so many great celebrations throughout Central Illinois.

🍂 We’re going back to some DCC classics this week that have been off the menu for a little while! With the cooler temperatures coming in, we’ve got some hearty favorites lined up for you. 🤎

Wednesday’s menu features a pulled pork sandwich served with pit beans and chips, finished off with a sweet Scotcheroo for dessert. It’s a classic, filling meal that’s perfect for a midweek lunch!

Friday, we’re bringing back the brisket sandwich alongside cheesy potatoes and chips. And for dessert, you can finish your meal with a triple chocolate cookie! 🍪

Two delicious lunches are headed your way this week! ✨ From a flavorful Thai Chicken Wrap on Wednesday to a hearty Sliced Pork Loin meal on Friday, we’ve got some delicious favorites waiting for you! And of course, there’s a sweet treat to finish off each meal. 😋 Check out this week’s menu below⬇️

Wednesday, September 30th, we’ll be serving a Thai Chicken Wrap paired with Asian Slaw and Chips, plus a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake Bar for a sweet finish!

Then on Friday, October 2nd, enjoy Sliced Pork Loin served with Loaded Mashed Potatoes and a Roll with Butter, followed by a delicious Pecan Bar for dessert!

DCC is happy to be using some fresh, local ingredients in Wednesday’s meal! We’ll be incorporating freshly picked green peppers into our Shrimp Stir Fry this week from Two Little Pickers Farm Stand.

We love supporting local businesses, but it’s even more fun when the entrepreneurs are Riggs, age 6, and Maleda, age 4! These two are already learning how to grow it, sell it, and run a business.

Be sure to check out their Farm Stand near 19th St. and North Lawrence/500 N. Support local and support these two young entrepreneurs! 🌶️

Meet Bailey Grider, our Events Coordinator at Drummer Creek Catering ✨

Bailey works directly with clients planning weddings, celebrations, school events, business gatherings, and other special occasions. She helps guide clients through the catering process form the first conversation to the final details—gathering event information, discussing catering options, providing pricing, and making sure everything is organized to help their event come together smoothly. 📋

Bailey also manages Drummer Creek Catering’s social media, helping keep our customers and community updated on our lunches, events, and everything happening at DCC. 📱

Outside of Drummer Creek, Bailey is currently attending Parkland College, where she is studying Radiologic Technology. 🎓

We’re excited to have Bailey as part of the Drummer Creek Catering team and look forward to all she continues to bring to DCC!

Friday’s lunch is bringing some local flavor! 🐷

We’ve got two delicious meals coming your way this week, with a little something different to enjoy each day! 😋

Wednesday, September 16th, we’ll be serving Shrimp Stir Fry with Fried Rice and Vegetables, paired with a Vegetable Spring Roll, followed by Mango Butter Mochi Bars — a Hawaiian-Japanese fusion dessert with a delicious custard-like texture! 🥭

Then on Friday, September 18th, enjoy Pulled Pork from Old Timers Ag 🐷, served with an Italian Grinder, Pasta Salad and Chips, followed by Brown Sugar Blondies for dessert! 🤎
