My front of house staff (minus Aracely..but will post more with all of us later) would like to thank you all for the overwhelming show of support during these last few days of opening. I did not plan on releasing a public announcement until after we closed, and was planning to run business as usual. With people catching wind of our closing, we were getting calls about it, so I thought it best to announce. With the announcement came a huge amount of love and support, and well....we just were not ready for it with our inventory. We stock in smaller amounts to keep our ingredients as fresh as possible, and let me tell you...we got wiped out!!!! Please allow us these next 2 days to restock, and reopen on Tuesday for service until our last day (Friday, Dec. 10) We apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope you understand.

On this day, 2 years ago, Kohesian opened it's door for the first time for business. I was filled with many different emotions at that time, and I am filled with all those emotions again as I am getting ready to close our doors permanently. Everything about Kohesian came from our hearts. From our dining hall, music, food, and service, we hoped to provide a place that was welcoming, where the flavors were consistent, and the service was inviting. I wanted to introduce our flavors in a subtle way by incorporating our flavors into dishes that we all know, and love. I mean, come on, who doesn't love burgers, tacos, nachos, fries, pizza, and all that other good stuff we offered, right?!?
I want to thank Spence Ray of Thornwood for giving me the opportunity to come in, and allow me to make my vision and dream a reality. I don't know what he saw in this 5' korean with no culinary or restaurant background, but he took a chance on me, and I am truly thankful for the opportunity I was given. Thornwood's management, maintenance crew, residents, and fellow small business owners have my heart. I have said this before, and I will say this again, I may have picked the worst time to open, but I definitely picked the best location. To my Kohesian family, I could not have made it through without you all. Thank you all for being the face and backbone of my business. My sister-in-law deserves a HUGE shout out. Some of you may have seen her through the kitchen window running around. She has worked non-stop making all the sauces, marinades, and the kimchi so that our flavors could be represented in the most authentic way possible. Thank you to my husband and daughter for being my number 1 cheering squad. My daughter never once complained to me about never being home, and my husband never showed his stress and weariness from running our family on his own during these tough times. My friends- I could not have asked for a better support team. And last, but not least, thank YOU all for all your support. I have had the pleasure and honor of meeting some wonderful people. Thank you all for all your love and support. We will continue operations till Friday, Dec. 10th.
