Seeing the words “gluten-free friendly” menu... ✋

Here’s the thing: “gluten-free friendly” is not the same as a dedicated gluten-free kitchen.

“Friendly” can mean a shared prep space, shared fryers, shared knives, and a server saying “we’ll do our best.” If you have celiac or a gluten sensitivity, that’s a gamble every time.

Ugly Noodle is dedicated gluten-free, zero wheat in the building. Our menu exists so you can relax when you order. No scanning every ingredient. No crossing your fingers.

🥟 How we make our gluten-free pierogies from scratch, EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

Most people don’t realize this: our gluten-free pierogi dough is actually the SAME dough we use for our ravioli. Just a couple tweaks to get it to fold right.

Here’s the thing about gluten-free flour, it does not want to stretch or fold like wheat doughs. That’s always #1 challenge. Once we crack that (pun intended), here’s the process:

🍝 Roll the dough to the same thickness as our ravioli ⭕ Cut discs with a 2.5-3” circle cutter
🥟 Fill, then clamp shut with our pierogi cutter (trust the process)
✂️ Pull off the excess, check every edge for cracks

No compromises. No “close enough.” Just really good gluten-free pierogies, made the hard way, every week.

You can’t just pick the croutons off. 🚫🥖

Cross-contamination isn’t a maybe, it’s a real risk, and most gluten-free menus can’t promise you a safe kitchen. Separate prep area? Separate fryer? Separate utensils? If they can’t answer yes to all three, there’s risk on that fork.
