This year’s featured food is the TOMATO! 🍅❤️

Each of our school locations will be serving a special tomato-inspired item to highlight this Indiana favorite! Our Child Nutrition teams have something different planned at each location for our students to enjoy. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

🌱🍅 Here it is — garden fresh, juicy, and ready to eat! There’s nothing quite like a fresh tomato!

We’re excited to celebrate Indiana-grown foods, agriculture, and Farm to School! 🚜🌱🍽️

Behind every strong Farm to School program is a team ready to lead it! 🌱

Megan Farmer and Pete Harris attended the IDOE-sponsored Culinary Skills for Farm to School training at The Kitchen in Logansport. They explored ways to use fresh, local herbs in school meals, learned practical vegetable substitutions, and practiced preparing recipes they can bring back to our kitchens.🍽️
