The 2nd Annual Bass Ball Buster Memorial Tournament is coming to Terrace Lakes Resort on Saturday, September 19. ⛳️💚

This special tournament is held in loving memory of Dylan Bass, bringing friends, family, and the Garden Valley community together for a meaningful day on the course.

All proceeds will go toward Garden Valley High School scholarships.

The weather is looking just about perfect for a weekend at Terrace Lakes. ☀️🌲

As the summer days begin to cool down, bring the family up for a relaxing dip in our beautiful hot springs pool, play a round of golf, grab a bite in the restaurant, or head upstairs for a drink.

We’re about an hour north of Boise. Take Highway 55 toward McCall, then turn right at Banks onto Banks-Lowman Road toward Garden Valley.

Slow down, enjoy the Idaho mountains, and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. There’s so much to do and so much to see at Terrace Lakes Resort.

It’s Friday, and the weekend is looking pretty good in Garden Valley. ☀️♨️

With the kids starting to head back to school, make the most of these last summer weekends while you can. Beautiful weather is expected this weekend, and the Hot Springs are open late Friday and Saturday until 10 PM.

We lower the pool temperature during the summer months too, making it a great place to swim, soak, cool off and spend a few hours in the mountains.

Terrace Lakes Resort is OPEN today. 🌲
The latest update has Highway 55 closed north of Banks due to the Mile Marker 81 Fire.

Highway 17 / Banks–Lowman Road is currently open, but conditions can change quickly and temporary closures are possible if fire activity increases or if trees, rocks or other debris fall onto the roadway.

If you’re traveling toward Garden Valley, please check Idaho 511 before leaving and expect possible delays throughout the day.

Travel safe, and thank you to everyone working the fire and keeping the roads as safe as possible.

Recent Update

Incident Update: Mile Marker 81 Fire
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 12, 2026, 6:30pm MT

(Banks, Idaho) – The Mile Marker 81 Fire burning near the intersection of Highway 55 and the Banks-Lowman Road to Garden Valley has had its northward spread halted. The fire remains on the ridge sandwiched between those two roads.

There have been many calls to the IDL Southwest Supervisory Area office regarding social media reports indicating the fire has jumped across roads and rivers. As of time of this news release, THOSE REPORTS ARE FALSE. Firefighting operations are working to keep that from happening. Please refer to official sources only.

A Type 3 Incident Commander is taking command due to the complexity of the incident and another crew ordered for support. Firefighting efforts will focus on securing the fire edge and conducting burn out operations to reduce risk of the fire spotting. These efforts are expected to be done to achieve containment by noon on 8/13. This will also be ahead of the Red Flag warning at 3pm 8/13 for potential lightning and associated outflow winds.

Per Boise County Sheriff:

Highway 17 / Banks-Lowman Road — FULLY OPEN

Highway 55 — PILOT CAR THROUGH THE NIGHT

Please use caution when traveling through the area.

UPDATE: HIGHWAY 55 IS OPEN WITH DELAYS

Highway 55 near Banks is currently open to traffic, but traffic is being controlled through the area while crews continue working on the Mile Marker 81 Fire.

Please expect significant delays if you’re traveling to or from Terrace Lakes.

This is an ever-changing situation, and road conditions or closures may change again with little notice. Please check Idaho 511 before heading out and plan accordingly.

Give firefighters, flaggers and emergency crews plenty of room to work, and please drive carefully through the area.

We’ll continue sharing important travel updates as we receive them.
