Great News, Friends! ❤️
After a whilwind week, we are finally on the way to answers.
Our son was released from the hospital today and is now on his way home 🙏
Once he takes a round of medications, he'll go back for additional testing and a biopsy because his specialists still strongly suspect there may be an underlying autoimmune disease.
We want to sincerely thank every single person who prayed, sent messages, checked in, shared encouragement, or supported PL8s by Pinky's while we were out with him.
We know we're not completely at the finish line yet, but we're incredibly thankful for the progress and hopeful for what comes next.

And... because of that...
PL8s will be open the rest of the week! 🎉

Many of you have been following our son's health journey and have been faithfully praying alongside us, so we wanted to share another update.

As you know, our son is hospitalized in Wichita while doctors work to determine what's causing his ongoing health issues.

After some encouraging news from his internist yesterday, we were hopeful he might be heading home today. Instead, a specialist told us this morning that he'll be staying at least a couple more days while they complete another test and work to identify the root cause of what made him so sick on Friday. Once they have those answers, the plan right now is to begin treatment here in the hospital.

As of now, tonight is expected to be our only night open this week, so if you've been craving your favorite PL8, now's the time to come see us. 🔥

If you're the praying kind, we'd be grateful for prayers for our son, wisdom for his doctors, and clear answers in the days ahead.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for being more than customers to us. We don't take it for granted. ❤️🙏

A quick update from our family...

We're still in Wichita with our son. He was transported by plane to St. Francis, and while we still don't have any clear answers, we're thankful that all of the tests so far—including infection cultures—have come back negative. We're waiting on a few more results and biopsies, and his internist is hopeful he may be able to go home tomorrow with follow-ups if one more specialist agrees. 🙏

In the meantime, life keeps moving, and our daughter will be opening PL8s by Pinky's tonight from 5pm-8pm at AAA Pawn Shop.

If you've been praying for our son, thank you. We truly feel those prayers. If you're able to stop by and grab dinner tonight, we'd appreciate the support as well.

We wanted to share a little bit of what's been happening behind the scenes.
Our son is currently facing some medical challenges, and this morning he has to undergo anesthesia so doctors can perform additional testing and exploration. We would deeply appreciate your prayers for him, for wisdom for his medical team, and for peace for our family.

We know that our sudden closure yesterday was frustrating for some and we never take your support for granted. PL8s by Pinky's is a family-owned/operated business, and when one of our children needs us, we're going to be right beside them every single time.

We understand that unexpected closures can be inconvenient, and we're truly sorry for any disappointment they've caused. Please know these decisions are never made lightly. While we love serving our community, our family has to come first in moments like these.

Thank you to those who have shared prayers and shown grace & patience.Your support means more than you know.
We'll keep everyone updated as we're able. In the meantime, we'd appreciate your prayers for our boy today. 🙏❤️

Unfortunately, PL8s by Pinky's will be closed this evening due to a medical emergency in our family.

If you pray, we would greatly appreciate your prayers. Your support and understanding mean more to us than you know and we sincerely apologize to everyone who planned to stop by tonight.
