About Us

Established July 2020, Tahanan Filipino Bistro and Shop (Tahanan, LLC) aims to provide a feel at home vibe to all Filipino-Americans in Gainesville and surrounding areas including visitors from outside cities. Tahanan serves as a hub for countless consumers who are craving for authentic traditional Filipino goods and dishes which bring much nostalgia of being like at home. From our family to yours, we set lots of love and special attention to all the needs of the growing Filipino community in Gainesville and nearby areas. Tahanan set forth and pursues to not just be an ordinary store or food hub in town, we will make sure that every time our kababayans visit our store, it will become their next shop destination where they remember and take pride of their roots.

Location: Holy Faith Catholic Church (Fiesta celebration follows at the Parish Life Center)
Details: In celebration of the Patroness of Zamboanga, hosted by the Zamboangueños de Gainesville, with Fr. Rafael Lavilla.

🏓 Dada’s Cup Pickleball Tournament
Dates: October 24 & 25 | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: Tom Petty Park
Details: Hosted by PAMANA (Philippine American Alliance of North America, Inc.). Divisions for Under Age 45, Age 45 & Over, and Open Age Group. Benefitting UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital & Children's Miracle Network! Registration is $35.

🎃 Halloween Costume Party
Date: October 30 at 6:00 PM

🌟 Spiritual Celebration 🌟
Come together for the Novena and Fiesta Mass honoring San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint. Let us unite under this year's theme: "One in the spirit of faith, hope and love."

Novena Masses: September 18th–26th at 7:00 PM at Holy Faith Chapel.
Fiesta Mass: September 27th at 4:00 PM at Holy Faith Chapel, followed by a potluck fellowship at the Parish Life Center.
