Meet Chef Ricky Burgess.

For Chef Ricky, cooking has always been more than a career—it's part of who he is. Raised in Jefferson City, Ricky's passion for food began early. He credits his mother with sparking his interest in the kitchen through a simple philosophy: "If you don't like it, cook it yourself."

Over the past three decades, Ricky has built an impressive culinary career across Mid-Missouri – remaining committed to simple principles: quality ingredients, efficient operations, and food prepared with care. His culinary philosophy can be summed up in three words: Keep it simple.

At Beks, Ricky is focused on refining kitchen operations, introducing thoughtful new menu items, and elevating the guest experience through consistency and attention to detail.

"I want our guests to feel the pride we put into every plate," he says. "We're focusing on cooking food to order, using quality ingredients, and creating a smooth experience from the kitchen to the table."

Ricky's approach to menu development emphasizes fresh, approachable dishes built around simple ingredients and smart ex*****on. His goal is to maintain the quality Beks is known for while continuing to evolve the restaurant's offerings.
