Smack That Butt BBQ Myself and Shawn Pendo started a competition bbq team to have a good time smoking meat and drinking beer and hopefully placing well every now and then.

Well Smack That Butt BBQ LLC did our last catering job last night, we are officially officially retired. In 2016 My buddy Shawn Pendo and I watched BBQ Pitmasters and said hey, let’s try competition BBQ, and that’s when it all started. Smack That Butt BBQ started entering Backyard BBQ team competitions then to Masters BBQ team competitions. We took many competition BBQ classes to master the art of competition BBQ, I’ll have to say we produced some pretty damn good BBQ. After that my wife and I made it into a successful catering and vending business. We have met so many awesome people and clients during our time of barbecuing. It’s been a great chapter in our life but it’s time to start the next.

We will be back at the Bluebell Festival at the Shenandoah River State Park this Saturday 11-4 the weather is going to be beautiful. This will be our 3rd year and each year this festival gets a huge turnout. There will be vendors and food trucks and of course the trail to view the Virginia bluebells.
