Today, we recognize and honor the Indigenous peoples who have called this land home for generations.
Fridley, MN sits on the ancestral lands of the Dakota and Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) peoples. Long before our community became what it is today, these lands were home to thriving Indigenous communities with their own cultures, traditions, languages, and deep connections to the land and water.
Minnesota’s history also includes the forced removal, displacement, and mistreatment of Indigenous peoples. That history deserves to be acknowledged, remembered, and understood.
As a locally owned business, we believe it’s important to recognize not only the history of the land we operate on, but also the Indigenous communities who continue to live here, preserve their cultures, and contribute to our communities today.
Indigenous Peoples Day is a reminder that this history isn’t just in the past. It’s part of where we live, work, and gather every day.
