I began my journey at Chicago’s Pizza in Indianapolis in 1984 while still in college. A job intended as a means to work my way through school became my professional career. After working as an assistant and then general manager in two Indy area locations, we pursued a dream of opening our own location which brought us to French Lick. 33 years ago today, Chicago’s Pizza opened our doors in the community.

What started as a humble opportunity in business ownership evolved into the proudest achievement of my professional career. Thank you for your patronage and all the memories and friendships we have made over the years.

PS Enjoy the photo circa 1989 taken at the former Chicago’s on Monument Circle in Indianapolis. In case you didn’t notice I had less weight and more hair.

One of our very good customers Darian Andry sent us this picture. She said it looked like Pryce was shining down on us last night. Thank you, Darian, this is absolutely beautiful.

FAREWELL TO PRYCE

You entered our lives in a most ordinary way
Another teen co-worker with little to say

You showed us your self in gradual bits
Your ever comfortable self giving us fits

Yet over time you earned our hearts with fun, d***y gaffs
Becoming your targets for garnering some laughs

These two years with you we truly got to see
The wonderful person you were striving to be

There will be grief as well as being emotionally sad
As we mourn what is lost from what we know that we had

But we promise not to dishonor the time that we shared
Being overcome with guilt asking did we show that we cared

Because the wonderful gift you gave us in the end
Was our greatest privilege to call you our friend

Forever in our hearts,
Your Chicago’s Pizza Family
(Pryce’s Peeps)

Thank you to everyone who has reached out during this difficult time, sent us flowers and treats, and just offered your support. Special shout out to Dairy Queen for this ice cream cake we enjoyed together after Pryce’s funeral on Friday. We appreciate you all so much ❤️
