🏐 FEMALE SENIOR SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK: LIA VICKERS 🏐

Summit Spine & Sport and Sip Studio are proud to recognize Lia Vickers, a senior volleyball player at Freeport High School!

Lia recently moved to Freeport from Pennsylvania, but she has already made a big impact on her team.

Her coach shared:

“Lia is an excellent setter. Everyone loves her, and she is fun and inclusive of everyone on the team. She is always positive and brings great energy.”

We sat down with Lia to learn a little more about her!

Q: Who has played an important role in your development as a student or athlete?

Lia: I’ve only been at Freeport for about two months since I just moved here, but I would definitely say my coach. She has consistently shown that she believes in me, and that means a lot for my confidence. She has shown me that I can be a leader and has helped me become a better leader both on and off the court.

Q: Where did you live before moving to Freeport?

Lia: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Q: What are your plans after graduating from high school?

Lia: I plan to attend college. I’m interested in studying sports psychology and physical therapy, or possibly going into business and real estate.

Q: Do you have any colleges in mind?

Lia: Either UWF or Flagler College.

Q: What advice would you give the freshman version of yourself?

Lia: Take every setback as an opportunity to grow. Through sports, life and everything else, discipline has taught me a lot. All of those experiences have helped me become a better athlete and person.

Congratulations, Lia! We are excited to see everything you accomplish during your senior year and beyond!
