To Our Beloved Crabby Coffee Community,
It is with deep gratitude and heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Crabby Coffee at the WiFire Community Space, with our final day of operation set for August 16th.
For the past six years, this little coffee shop has been more than just a place to grab your favorite drink—it has been a gathering place, a refuge during storms (literal and otherwise), and a hub of warmth, laughter, and connection. None of that would have been possible without the incredible support of our community, local organizations, and Whidbey Telecom Company. Your encouragement and belief in our small business have carried us through both joyful moments and unimaginable challenges.
From navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, to weathering egg shortages and power outages, Crabby Coffee stood strong because of you. Your loyalty, patience, and kindness helped us persevere through times when the world felt uncertain—and for that, we will always be thankful.
This closure is the result of the growing strain of market inflation and a thoughtful redirection of Crabby Coffee’s journey. While this chapter at WiFire is coming to an end, we believe it is not a goodbye, but a shift toward something new.
As we prepare to close our doors on August 16th, we invite you to stop by for one last cup, a shared memory, or just a hug.
And while this location will be closing, our drive-thru at 18273 Hwy 525 will remain open—ready to serve you with the same heart and espresso you’ve come to know and love.
“When one door closes, another opens”—and though this goodbye is bittersweet, we look forward with hope and excitement for what’s next.
