Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandpas, father figures, and the men who show up day after day for the people they love. 💙

👶 Our cook who’s about to become a dad — your biggest adventure is just getting started, and we couldn’t be more excited for you.

Pick a side, wear your colors, and come support an incredible cause!

Join us Saturday, June 20th starting at 3 PM for an afternoon of friendly competition benefiting the Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department.

Here’s what’s happening:

🍩 Donut Eating Contest

🎶 Six String Revolver live at 8 PM

🎟 $5 cover all day — every dollar goes directly to the Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department.

In fact, all donations collected throughout the day will benefit our local firefighters.

A reminder that guests under 21 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

🧹🍻 We partied hard this weekend, so it’s time for a little reset.

The Buckskin Tavern will be closed Monday, June 15th to give our staff a well-deserved break and to clean up after an incredible weekend.

Thank you to everyone who came out, celebrated with us, and supported our events. Our team worked hard to make it all happen, and we’re grateful for each and every one of them. ❤️

We’ll be back to our regular hours on Tuesday with a little something special:

“The Limits Of Freedom”

They said freedom mattered.
So we believed them.

We believed freedom meant being able to live openly.
To speak honestly.
To build something meaningful.

So we did.

We used our freedom to feed those who were hungry.
To provide hospitality to strangers.
To love our neighbors as ourselves.
To give quietly, not for praise.

We used our freedom to create a place where people could laugh, gather, and belong.

Then we dared to hang a rainbow flag.

We hosted drag shows.
We told people they had a place with us.

And suddenly we learned they didn’t mean freedom the way we did.

They meant freedom only mattered when it looked like them.
When it loved like them.
When it worshipped like them.

Suddenly we were called poison.
Suddenly people cheered for our downfall.

All because we believe freedom belongs to everyone.

When did freedom decide there were right people to love
and wrong people to protect?

Right people to welcome
and wrong people to make space for?

When did freedom become something that had to be earned?

Because we thought freedom meant all of us.

And now our right to freedom is being measured
by who we let dance in our building.

But if freedom only belongs to people who look, love, and believe exactly the same,

then it was never freedom at all.

This year America celebrates 250 years of freedom.

The LGBTQ+ community celebrates 11.

Eleven years of marriage equality.

Not 11 years free from fear.
Not 11 years free from hatred.
Not 11 years free from violence.

Eleven years since the law recognized what countless couples already knew: that their love was worthy of the same dignity, commitment, and protections afforded to everyone else.

When we talk about freedom, it’s worth asking who has had it, who is still fighting for it, and who gets told they don’t deserve it.
