We have a temporary fix on our batch freezer. Still needs more work but able to make ice cream for now. Will be making ice cream tonight and we'll see how it goes. Thanks again for all the kind comments.

We are sad to report our ice cream batch freezer has died and it is not feasible to repair it. Typical start to the season on a big weekend. We will remain open as long as possible this weekend as we have a fair inventory of certain flavors and when we get down extremely low will turn out the lights till be can again get up to speed with a different machine. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP!!! Tough way to start the season. Sorry if we disappoint any of our valued customers on this beautiful holiday weekend.

This weekend is open house in downtown Fredericksburg. Now offering our famous award winning chili and this is our first attempt at recreating a seafood chili tasted at a food show many years ago. 6 lbs. of shrimp and scallops in this batch!!! Come check out a bowl of either our regular or the seafood!!

OK. FINALLY GOT SOME TREE RIPENED PEACHES!!! Will process and I've some tonight and make some ice cream Sunday night Eill be available barring snags on Monday.

Another equipment failure. This time we lost a dipping cabinet. Bad compressor. $2200. Hope to have replaced tomorrow but possibly Sat. morning. Still working on getting our peaches for seasonal fresh peach, but plenty of distractions this year

Sad to report that this has been the year of equipment failures. And yet now another. The walkin refrigerator where ice cream mix, milk, whipped cream, etc. has gone down. Lost everything. Several thousand dollars. Won't be looked at till Monday morning and delivery expected on Tuesday. Can't make ice cream till then. We will be running out of various flavors as the weekend goes on. Difficult to recover quickly when this happens and you make all your ice cream
