Our community lost a hero this week. Officer Marcus McCarson woke up every morning walked out of his house to give his best to our town. He leaves behind a young family and a host friends that loved him dearly. Today we send our thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and fellow officers.

Every once in a while someone comes into your life and makes an impact, for us at Haywood Smokehouse Franklin Matthew Burton was one those people. When Matthew joined our teamed he immediately made a difference. His smiling presence, calm demeanor, and will to please will certainly be missed. Matthew was taken from this world too soon. We ask for thoughts and prayers for his Wife, family, and friends at this tragic time. As many of you know these sudden tragedies bring not only emotional and mental strain but there is also the financial difficulty. There has been a fund set up to help Matthew’s wife Emily with funeral expenses. If you are able and would like to please send a little her way. Every penny will help. We are forever thankful for our time with Matthew and thankful for each and every one of you!!
