Thank you, everyone, for prayers and support and patience. We are still nowhere near out of the woods tonight but my family and I are hanging on OK. Many of you have asked. Yes, my husband is going through another medical emergency and a really rough patch right now that is related to one of his many medical issues. He has just been released from the second medical facility this week, with a medication adjustment from each. We are hoping this latest one he was given this evening will put him on the right track. I know so many of you adore him as much as the boys and I do and care so much when he is in trouble. This episode was quite a doozy and is multifaceted. We will most likely need extra time to come back from this once he is actually feeling better. Thank you again.

Good morning, dear customers. We are taking just a bit longer to reopen from our short summer break and get back into the dough rolling as all employees have not been able to return and several projects in and around the shop are still in progress. We plan to be open Friday and Saturday of this week, June 12 and 13. Thank you for your support. We will see you soon!

Good morning! We have our usual Saturday specials and a few extras today! And, watch out, our guests tend to buy in bulk on Saturday mornings, to stock up for the weekend! You might want to hurry in. And it is a pretty good day to stock up, since this is our last open day before we take our annual first week of June summer break. We will be closed next week, and the plan is to be back open on June 10. We are open 9 to 5. See you soon!

Good morning. Yes, we are still hiring. We have all the help we need for summer break with our great team and some loyal, strong workers who have been with us for years, but I am looking for permanent counter helpers and possible kitchen helpers who may also want to stay with us for a few years. 😊 We also have plenty of after school help but need weekday hours covered, as well as Saturdays. Strawberry Chocolate Kouign Amann, filled with house made strawberry jam and topped with a sweet little strawberry are available this muggy Wednesday morning, to brighten your day a bit. These caramelized sugar pastries are made with the same dough we make our croissants with, but they are rolled in sugar, as the French tradition requires. And our stuffed croissant today is glazed Bavarian cream! We are open 9 to 5. See you soon!

Have you noticed the new signs and that every business has been painted a different color? Things are changing!

It’s official! Owner, Jeff Hand, is celebrating the local history surrounding the property on old Highway 28 that he purchased in 2020. Because his original 1940s deed shows that the property line at 867 Highlands Rd. includes Franklin’s original airport and runway, as well as the old abandoned Highway 28 strip that used to run behind the market, well before Highlands Rd. was constructed, he has included it not only in the new name for the complex but in the design of our new sign!

Like a vintage mid century travel map with a charming speedometer included in the graphic, the sign shows not only our location on Highlands Rd. but the old road behind the property. Native Franklinites may remember the good ole days and driving on the original road.
